I’ve been leaning heavily on matcha latte’s as of late and I remembered “Amanda, there’s just no need for that!”
Indulging is great once in awhile, but I began to feel the matcha becoming a crutch to my energy & clarity of mind… and then I remembered hey… there’s an herb for that! NETTLE.
SO I grabbed my herb grinder (you could use a coffee mill too although it won’t get quite as fine a powder), grabbed some Nettle leaf and grinded away!
Nettle “Matcha” is divine & it’s now my new go- to. You should try it too!
12oz mug
1-2tsp of powdered Urtica dioica leaf
6oz hot water
6oz milk of choice – frothed if you like
sweetener of choice to taste
Boil water and fill you mug with 6oz of water with the Nettle Powder.
Froth cold milk (you can heat it but I find adding the cold milk to the hot water is the perfect temp for me).
Add frothed milk to the Nettle Tea, add sweetener of choice & enjoy.
Like matcha, the Nettle powder will settle so just stir as you sip.
