Tips For Spring Clearing

We are officially in the Spring season & with this comes inspiration, clarity & desire for fresh starts & change…. Or you could still be feeling stagnant, heavy & indecisive…

Both are totally normal experiences to be having right now! 

In Ayurveda, Spring- or Kapha Season is ruled by the elements of water & earth which combined equals MUD right??

Picture the heaviness of the wet soil as seedlings are slowly pushing up from the depths of the soil to find the warmth of the Sun… we are likely feeling a bit of this too…AND if we have an abundance of Kapha in our personal make up/ body type- we may be feeling this sluggishness even more. If we have more Pitta or fire in our personal constitution right now, then that energy is going to cut through this foggy phase of the beginning of Spring even faster.

We’re all different & whatever type of Spring energy you’re feeling is perfectly fine!

There is no need to rush the process of waking up to the Spring season… In fact in the modern culture of Do! Do! Do! Be Productive 24/7 mindset… taking it slow is a much needed gift.   And if for you, the sluggishness might start feeling uncomfortable & you’d like to help shift out of it- I have a few tips for you! 

This time of year calls for earlier mornings so try to wake before 7am & close your eyes before 10:30pm.

Energy Clear Daily to slough of what’s not yours from my day to day.

Start eating more bitter, astringent & gently pungent (spicy)foods. Think dandelion greens, artichokes, asparagus, radicchio, collards, green beans as well as arugula, cabbage, ginger, horseradish & turmeric for spices. Try this pesto out!
