Before Anything Else- when icky feelings set in, don’t fight them, let them flow & BREATHE. Taking some long slow inhales & exhales- especially longer exhales to help us feel grounded and let those feelings move through us in their own time & their own way. I love ESSENTIAL OILS to utilize for enhancing breath & connecting breath with mantra for calm. Here are some DIY ideas below:
Simple Smelling Salts For Calm:
What You Need:
A small jar or vial (old lip balm tubes work great!)
A few drops of your favorite essential oil (Aura cacia is a decent brand at your local health food store.)
1 Teaspoon of Salt (rock salt will work best but any salt will work)
Add a Mantra for calm: “All is well & as it should be”, ” I surrender to the flow of life”, “I am safe & all is well”- whatever word or phrases feel good for you.
Grab your vial & pour your salt in. Choose your favorite essential oil blend that instills calm… my favorites are Lavender, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, Vetiver, Marjoram or Grapefruit. Place 3-5 drops of your essential oil of choice in the vial ontop of the salt. Then cap the vial shut & give it a shake. Keep in your pocket & use it to deepen breathwork throughout the day.
To Bring it all together: smell your vial, say your mantra, breathe with intention (5 x’s is best), smell your vial again. REPEAT!
Energy clearing is SO IMPORTANT. Especially if you are sharing living space with someone who may have voted differently from you to keep things calm for all!
Burning dried herb bundles or incense, using smoke less sprays or even using bells, drums & gongs help to move energy out. The most important thing with energy clearing/shifting is to hold an intention in your mind. “I’m clearing our energy that does not serve & making room for energy & love that does serve”… or whatever resonates with you.
