Lavender-Nettle-Turmeric-Chai Latte

Ohhhhhh, this is a good one. Keep in mind I’m a kitchen witch. So these measurements are a starting point. Feel free to tweak as you desire.

What You Need:

A Large Sauce Pan & a small one

A fine strainer

3 Quarts of Water

2 tsp ground Tumeric

2 tsp ground Cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground Clove

1/2 tsp Ground Ginger

1/2 tsp fresh ground Black Pepper

1 tsp Ground Cardamom

1/2 tsp Fresh Grated Nutmeg

1 cup of dried Nettle leaf

1/8th cup dried Lavender Flowers

Milk of choice ( I use Almond or Hemp)

Sweetener of choice (I use real Maple Syrup or Raw Honey)

Fill your saucepan with the water and add all of the herbs/spices EXCEPT the Nettle & Lavender. Stir well as you bring water to a boil then IMMEDIATELY turn to low. Let it gentle simmer on low for about 20-30 min. Then, turn the heat off, add the Nettle & Lavender and cover the pot. Let it sit another 20-30 minutes. In another sauce pan, heat your milk of choice. Use frother if you like to get that latte effect. I use this one. After the 30 min (the tea should still be hot- if not just gentle heat it back up), fill 3/4 of your mug up with the tea mixture (use the strainer), then fill the rest with your milk & froth. Add sweetener to taste. Enjoy! Drink plenty & drink often! xoA

*You can strain and store the rest of the tea in your fridge for up to 4 days, reheating and adding milk/sweetener as desired.
