Natural Skin Care~ Oil Is The Answer, Not The Enemy

We’ve been brought up in a culture that has taught us that oils are bad and that they clog pores and cause acne.

Well, that’s a big fat lie.

Pure unadulterated oils are actually very healing and beneficial for our skins overall health, elasticity and strength!

Before the discovery of foaming soaps, Greeks would use olive oil to wash themselves… why? Because oil has the ability to draw out dirt and impurities from our skin while at the same time moisturizing our skin.

Ayurveda, the 3-5000 year old Indian health & healing system literally uses oil for EVERYTHING.  Eating it, using it as mouth wash, detoxing with it, lubricating eyes, ears and nose with it… there’s nothing oils can’t help according to that tradition.

After saying goodbye to soap (except for the “important parts”- pits, nether region & head- although I do more hair rinsing than I do shampooing…) for probably close to 7 years… I can vouch that oil is a phenomenal friend especially when keeping your skin happy and healthy.
